Family Mentoring

Provides mentoring services to families experiencing homelessness. Over a 6-month period, assists with developing a realistic and workable budget and finding housing.

Families must:

• Have a child aged 18 or younger or a parent in the 3rd trimester of their pregnancy
• Have a head of household who is employed or is receiving regular income, such as SSI or disability
• Be able to meet reasonable monthly expenses after budgeting with mentors
• Be free of felony charges in past 12 months and submit to background checks
• Be able to pass drug screening
• Be experiencing homelessness or one of the following:
  • Couch-surfing
  • Facing eviction
  • Living on the streets, shelter, or emergency housing program
